Loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. It was very reminiscent of coastal seaside taverns. Ordered the yellow belly perch which was locally sourced being a stone's throw away from Lake Michigan Bays you can imagine how fresh and delicious. Breaded to perfection! A sugar rimmed fresh squeezed margarita was my after dinner pick!

On vacation and we decided to give this place a try based on local recommendations. This place did not disappoint! In fact, we liked it so much that we came back for more 2 days later.
Grandma's popcorn is a must, the fish tacos are heavily, and the perch sandwich was perfect!
We highly recommend this place!

TLDR: good food, decent service, nice, busy atmosphere
I forgot to now what we drank but if I remember correctly, we were boring and got iced tea and Diet Coke 🤣😎
We started with the COCONUT SHRIMP (FRIED COCONUT SHRIMP WITH SWEET N SOUR SAUCE), which I thought may have included more shrimp than what actually came with the order, for the price, I mean. This is not enough to split with a table of 4 unless each person only gets one. They were delicious though, and the sauce added a nice twang.
For meals we got the FISH TACOS (BLACKENED MILD TILAPIA SAUTEED IN VIRGIN OLIVE OIL, SHREDDED CABBAGE, CHEESE, LIME, CHIPOTLE AIOLI, MANGO SALSA, YELLOW RICE, GRILLED CORN TORTILLAS) which were reported to be yummy.
I ordered the SUSHI GRADE AHI TUNA
(TOASTED SESAME, WASABI, TERIVAKI SAUCE, YELLOW RICE) which I thought was presented beautifully and was happy with the taste and textures of everything. I felt healthy 🤣.
Two of us ordered the tavern burger- heavily edited for keto 😅. The staff is great with substitutions, so that’s nice!
Overall the food was good, everyone was nice, especially with substitutions, the wait wasn’t too long, and the atmosphere was like a pre-Covid business. Loved it!

After having driven by repeatedly we stopped in on a Sunday evening with gorgeous sunshine and late season temps near 80. We sat on the front patio for dinner and enjoyed fabulous food and service. The blackened perch is now an absolute fav, even better than the traditional perch basket, which is also quite good. Friendly service, prompt, not overbearing.

We loved this restaurant! A beautiful day, large windows, indoor and outdoor seating. We had the fried cauliflower, blackened grouper sandwich, walleye sandwich, yellow belly perch dinner, and brownie sundae. All were excellent! Friendly, attentive service -- excited to go back!

Great stop if you are in the area and looking to try something new or just in need of a good meal. Staff was friendly, and the service was good. I will say it is a smaller dining area, so if your little ones dont like noise or get sensory overload easy, I recommend their outdoor seating area. Definitely stop in and try it out! PS: The fish tacos were delicious!!!
